From May 21 to 22, 2018, the preliminary review meeting for the Circulating Fluidized Bed Oxygen-Enriched Gasification Technology (CGAS) process package of Xinjiang Yihua’s Zhundong Coal Project was successfully held at the Hualu Plaza in Xi’an. The meeting was organized by the general engineering contractor Hualu Engineering & Technology Co., Ltd., with Yang Xiaoqin, General Manager of the project owner Xinjiang Yihua Chemical Co., Ltd., leading the delegation. Attendees included Yu Kuangshi, General Manager of CAS Hefei Gasification Technology Co., Ltd., and Zhu Zhiping, a researcher from the Institute of Engineering Thermophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), who participated as representatives of the process package team. The Xinjiang Yihua CGAS Oxygen-Enriched Gasification Project is the flagship initiative of the company’s synthetic ammonia upgrade plan, aiming to supply 3×40000 Nm3/h of syngas for ammonia synthesis through three circulating fluidized bed gasifiers.
During the meeting, participants conducted a detailed review of the technical documents in the process package submitted by the company. Key discussions focused on the design basis, Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and interlock control systems. Representatives from CAS and the company provided thorough responses to the owner’s concerns and proposed corresponding solutions. After two days of intensive discussions, the owner and contractor gained deeper insights into the technical package. Based on their feedback, the process flow was further optimized, ensuring the meeting’s successful conclusion.
The successful preliminary review lays a solid foundation for the next phase of the Xinjiang Yihua Project. It demonstrates the company’s proactive approach, rigorous technical expertise, and strengthens the owner’s confidence in collaboration.
